Gonzalo Fernández Ortiz de Zárate has a degree in Economics from the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) and is a graduate in Advanced Studies in the Doctoral Program Changes in the Current Economic Scenario and Implications for the Problem of North-South Development (UPV/EHU) at the same university, knowledge that he has been applying for years as an active member of various national and international social processes and movements.
Author of several publications, he carries out research work at the Observatory of Multinationals in Latin America (OMAL), where his main line of work is the study of alternatives to corporate power. Previously, he was general coordinator of the Hegoa Institute at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
